Sarah Tsoflias joins JASCO Applied Sciences (USA) Inc. as Managing Director, US Operations

December 2023 – JASCO Applied Sciences (USA) Inc. welcomes new Managing Director, Sarah Tsoflias.


With over 20 years’ experience in the offshore energy industry, Ms. Tsoflias brings considerable experience in understanding and working with government agencies, partnering with diverse stakeholders, and navigating complex environmental regulations. She is highly skilled in areas such as regulatory advocacy, scientific project management, and environmental risk assessment.

Prior to joining JASCO, Ms. Tsoflias spent 10 years at Chevron where, among various roles, she was responsible for managing environmental regulatory issues and engaging with government agencies and stakeholders. Earlier she worked at the International Association of Geophysical Contractors (IAGC; now EnerGeo Alliance) where she was responsible for communication and engagement with government agencies and industry stakeholders, and management of scientific research. At the outset of her professional career, Ms. Tsoflias managed scientific research at the Department of the Interior Minerals Management Service (MMS; now BOEM) and developed regulatory documents regarding the potential effects of oil and gas activities on marine life.

Ms. Tsoflias holds a M.S. in Geological Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in Geology and Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. She has authored several papers and given numerous presentations at global conferences and meetings on the potential impacts of sound on the marine environment.
